Koozie Group, Clearwater, Florida, is committed to being a good environmental steward. As part of Keep it. Give it., the company’s vision for positive social impact and increased sustainability, Koozie Group is focusing its environmental efforts in five areas where it strives to improve sustainability, including facilities, transportation, packaging, recycling and products.
Environmental stewardship is one of the four key focus areas of Keep it. Give it., which Koozie Group launched in 2020 to ensure that it is leaving a positive, lasting impact with the solutions and experiences it delivers.
“Koozie Group is committed to doing its part for the environment,” said Melissa Ralston, chief revenue officer. “We are proud of the fact that our Sleepy Eye, Red Wing and Clearwater facilities each earned FSC and SFI certifications in 2021, and that we have taken numerous steps in several key areas of our operations to enhance our sustainability efforts.”
Looking back on 2021, the following are some of the ways that Koozie Group made a difference when it comes to safety and social responsibility:
- The company maintained Certified EPA SmartWay Shipper Status.
- Koozie Group primarily uses corrugated packaging, which is the most recycled packaging material in the U.S. At the company’s Red Wing, Minnesota, facility, boxes are made from 100% post-consumer recycled materials.
- 39% of Koozie Group’s products earned the KG Factor designation, which identifies products with a high likelihood of being kept or gifted as determined by an impartial survey of end consumers.
- Styrofoam cups and plastic stirrers were removed from all facilities.
